Hey, you said you couldn't find a good picture of the one from adventures, I've got a treat for you, I can get you up close and personal, in fact i can get a picuture from inside the cockpit, inside the cargohold if you want. I have the official 3D model so you can get a look from every angle physically possible, and some impossible.
I remember seeing this diagram of the Arwing from the player's guide magazine for Starfox 64. Very detailed design. Especially with the mechanism inside. I always thought of the Arwing as a sort of customized version of the now retired F-14 Tomcat because of the fact that it has wings that open and close. Facinating. Simply facinating.
Yeah, I didn't realize how much was really in it until I started doing my vector of the artwork. I really should post a larger version of the top down view, so people can get a good idea of how much was put into the design.
Even if they were taken from the same players guide, A-Vixens-Fury is right ... the 3/4 view is clearly of the SFX Arwing (as seen in the original SNES game and Nintendo Power Comics), while the other views are of the StarFox 64 version. If you look carefully, the differences are clear. [ The Shape of the G-Diffusers, the extra notch and "beak" in the nose cone, and the narrowness of the wings, vs. the flatter, adjustable wings of the SF64 ship ]
I'm personally partial to the original ship, vs any of the versions that appeared in SF64, Adventures, Assault and Command.
This is still an awesome Background compilation though.
